Absolutely. Though I would say this is true of all cultures, and it makes perfect sense why. No offense to the non-human animals, but they have nothing interesting to say about the big questions of life. Their interests are more basic, tied to survival. Humans, as animals themselves, also have their most basic interests in survival. So of course human cultures are shallow; it's our nature.
